Most coffee shops ask customers to choose by origin, roast level or tasting notes. Those details matter, but they do not always answer the real question: will I enjoy this coffee with my brew setup?
Easy Drinking
Easy Drinking coffees are built around comfort. Expect flavours like chocolate, cocoa, caramel, nuts, brown sugar and lower perceived acidity. These coffees are usually more forgiving in automatic machines, milk drinks and daily espresso.
Easy does not mean low quality. It means accessible, stable and familiar.
Explorer
Explorer coffees are for customers who want more origin character. These coffees may show fruit, florals, winey acidity, fermentation character, tea-like body or cooling-cup complexity. They can be beautiful, but they ask more from the brewer.
Explorer does not mean better for everyone. It means more expressive and sometimes less forgiving.
How to choose
- If you drink milk drinks or use an automatic machine, start with Easy Drinking.
- If you brew filter and enjoy fruit or florals, try Explorer.
- If you are buying a gift, choose Easy Drinking unless you know the person loves complex coffees.
- If you want to learn, buy one of each and taste them side by side.
The point of the split
We are not trying to make coffee complicated. We are trying to remove the wrong kind of guessing. The best coffee is the one that fits your taste, your equipment and your expectations.
