Practical answers, grouped by customer task.

No. Roast date matters, but very fresh coffee can still be unstable. Coffee moves through settling, peak ageing and eventual decline, so the peak window matters more than roast date alone.
Peak-aged means the coffee has been rested toward the best window we can identify for that coffee. It is not a fixed day-count promise; the peak differs by coffee, roast profile, brew method and storage.
No. Tasting notes come from origin, variety, process, roast profile, ageing and brewing. They are sensory notes, not added ingredients.
Espresso, filter, automatic machines and Turkish coffee extract differently. Grind, pressure, water, contact time and filtration all change the cup, so coffee should be matched to the setup.
Easy Drinking is the safer daily lane: rounded, forgiving and practical. Explorer is more expressive: fruit, florals, acidity or process character. They are buying lanes, not quality tiers.
Automatic machines usually reward rounded, chocolatey and forgiving coffees more than fragile high-complexity lots. Start with Easy Drinking or automatic-friendly product guidance.
Third-party SCA grading gives useful quality context and helps show that the coffee meets a recognised speciality standard. It is not a guarantee that every customer will prefer the highest score, so we publish scores with roast, rest, brew fit and flavour direction.
Keep coffee sealed, cool and dry. Avoid heat, moisture and repeated air exposure. Whole bean lasts better than ground coffee, and sealed freezer portions can help when used correctly.
Yes, if it is portioned and sealed. Freeze coffee once it is in a good window, avoid repeated thawing and let each portion warm while still sealed.
No. Tasting notes are direction, not ingredient claims. Your grinder, water, recipe, storage and brew method all affect how clearly those notes appear.
Product prices and available bag sizes are visible before you add to cart. Delivery, payment and final order totals are confirmed during checkout before the order is placed. Free shipping over R1,250 applies in eligible South African delivery areas where standard courier delivery is R250 or less.
Yes. Wholesale recommendations consider equipment, volume, staff workflow, milk use, service speed and the flavour profile that will actually work in that environment.
